An open letter to @TheLancet from an Iranian-Jewish cardiologist.
Today, one of the world's most prestigious medical journals published a campaign to suspend the Israeli Medical Association from the World Medical Association — the body founded after WWII to ensure physicians would never again be weaponized by political ideology.
I'm a cardiologist. I'm an Iranian Jew who grew up under a regime where medicine was subjugated to the state.
What The Lancet just did is a disgrace to my profession.
Here's what they published — and what they deliberately left out.
“We are deeply disturbed to learn so many senior members of the Trump administration gathered in the Situation Room to discuss the release of the Epstein Files as a reputational problem… we are separately concerned Todd Blanche was at that table.”
From Tonight’s Column: I have never forgotten Roberts’ comments. Was it a threat if we exercised our right to vote? Our First Amendment rights to protest? I remembered his comments when Renee Good and Alex Pretti were shot execution style on the streets of Minneapolis, because comments like that aren’t something you just move on from. It’s one thing to argue for conservative policy. It’s an entirely different thing to suggest the use of violence against people with different political views.

The Lancet — one of the world’s leading medical journals — just published a petition calling to suspend the Israeli Medical Association from the World Medical Association.
Israeli researchers are pioneering breakthroughs like drug-free nanoparticles that stop aggressive breast cancer without chemotherapy.
But sure, let’s punish innovation and collaboration.
Backed by radicals like Jewish Voice for Peace and Doctors for Gaza, it accuses the IMA of failing to condemn the “genocide of Palestinians.” The British Medical Association shamefully already cut ties in 2025.
Meanwhile, Iran, Russia, and North Korea stay in the club. What a disgraceful double standard.
This isn’t medicine — it’s Jew-hatred dressed up as ethics, pushed by a journal whose parent company (Elsevier) is led by Turkish CEO Kumsal Bayazit.
The vote is coming at the World Medical Association General Assembly in October. Mobilize now — contact your national medical associations, speak out, and ensure this antisemitic expulsion fails.
Israel didn't make the Arab world invade in 48 and *not* establish a Palestinian state in Gaza and WB.
Israel didn't make Hamas slaughter Israeli civilians on 10/7.
The argument breaks down when you admit Israel's foes are humans who face the consequences of their bad choices.
Honor Guards are trained for state funerals, fallen soldier ceremonies, and dignitary protocol. That is their sacred operational mandate. Trump just deployed them as set dressing for a UFC card. You don’t get to call yourself a patriot and applaud this.
It’s happened again:
A migrant was released from jail (charges dropped) and picked up by ICE.
ICE decides not to deport.
ICE drops migrant off far from home.
Migrant dies in the cold.
Manner of death: Homicide.
Nearly identical to Buffalo case.

Wait, is this for real? Trump spent $60 million of our taxpayer funds to host a UFC fight and then is selling UFC coin to line his family’s pockets. The Trump corruption swamp is a mile deep. https://t.co/jUtLu4cTaz
You know, I would be willing to listen to an argument that "Epstein class" is simply referring to Epstein's relationship with other opulently wealthy people that believed their wealth precluded them from the law and that him being Jewish has nothing to do with it.
But I'm not willing to listen to that argument from someone who got a massive Nazi tattoo on his chest.
Emil Bove told career prosecutors: sign this motion and you'll be promoted.
The person who signed now runs the section.
Bove told Congress he didn't do that.
Barrett has the recording. Barrett talked to people who watched Bove testify.
They believed he wasn't telling the truth.
People can’t afford health insurance, inflation is through the roof, gas prices are soaring and immigrant children are locked in prison camps, but sure let’s do motorcycle flips on the lawn of the WH to celebrate an egotistical president‘s birthday.
Not enough people are talking about this.
Trump is trying to escape a $100 million dollar tax penalty, and Senate Republicans are helping him do it.
You know about the $1.8 billion slush fund he tried to create to reward his political allies. They got so much pushback that they’ve halted that, at least for now. But what you probably don’t know is that Trump gave himself, his family, and his businesses complete immunity from IRS audits, past and future.
Everyone focused on the slush fund, and almost nobody noticed the audit immunity. It’s still in place, and it cannot be allowed to stand.
I kinda comprehend that there is no bottom with these classless, thoughtless grifters, but I’m still surprised when I see it so openly.
These are pathetic people. And they dishonor us all with every thing they do.
This WaPo article from @PerryStein should really say there is one major case of voter fraud--Trump's attempt to steal the 2020 election--and that the most prominent example of the things Trump claims to be hunting for (paid registration, mail-in ballots) were provably done by Elon Musk.

we are currently being governed by the moral midgets who thought the Emancipation Proclamation, Reconstruction, Brown v Board, the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act were unfair to white people
The Lancet, one of the most important medical journals in the world, published a petition today calling for the suspension of the Israeli Medical Association (IMA) from the World Medical Association (WMA).
1,150 professionals signed the petition because the IMA "failed to condemn the genocide of the Palestinians, the destruction of Gaza’s healthcare system, and the torture of detainees."
The IMA has, in actuality, spent the entire war advocating for Gazans, petitioning the government to ensure medical supplies were entering Gaza, and demanding that hospitals in Gaza remain safe havens.
But they're evil because they didn't use the word genocide? It doesn't matter what you do for Palestinians or how you fight for them if you don't use a certain word?
What happened to "actions speak louder than words?"
