@theverybest5000 I finally stopped playing because of it. I hit level 50 and quit. I loved the game, but I raided more than 5 times a day. And I’m a disabled player.
These are remote raid passes. They made it easier for people like me raid since I have a disability. Please lower the price back to 100 for one & 250-275 for 3, with no limits, or damage nerfs #HearUsNiantic
Yeah, so Niantic doesn't give a fuck about us.
I know, i know, this is probably the most obvious statement you've read all week 😅 let's talk about it anyway.
A huge issue that plagues the relationship between pogo management and the playerbase is that we have fundamentally different values. Let me speak for myself in this tweet as i explain what i mean:
I don't give a fuck about AR lmao. I just want to catch pokemon.
On the other hand, niantic's WHOLE THING is AR. They live and breathe it, and they require my (our) help in achieving their goals by farming my (our) data. They [seem to] care significantly less about the ✨pokemon✨ of it all.
As a grown ass adult, i don't care about making friends with the 14 year olds in my town who happen to play the same game I do. I just want to catch pokemon.
On the other hand, Niantic is hellbent on trying to make us "form communities" and have in person interactions through their game.
As a grown ass financially stable and RESPONSIBLE adult, i value being able to spend my hard earned money on... whatever tf i want? And i just want to catch pokemon 🤣
On the other hand, Niantic believes (and has openly stated time and time again) that they know what's best not only for their vision, but for...US? As individuals with different life circumstances, values, and priorities from one another- Niantic claims their narrow, singular vision is best for ALL OF OUR gaming experiences. Which is how they rationalize imposing harsh limits and egregious prices on us.
The reality is every single person who plays pogo, plays DIFFERENTLY for a VARIETY of reasons.
Our jobs and family life may dictate WHEN we are able to play.
Our location and disabilities may dictate HOW we are able to play.
Our personal preferences may dictate WHICH FEATURES of the game we enjoy the most and focus on.
Niantic seems to have no respect for our INDIVIDUALITY as PEOPLE. Rather they see us as nothing more than DATA to milk for whatever AR goals they have.
This is why Niantic refuses to compromise with us. This is why Michael Steranka made a horrifically unprofessional and disrespectful public statement - without even an OUNCE of shame - saying that they are INTENTIONALLY IGNORING their players.
This statement is incredibly dehumanizing to us, to the people who fund this game through our love and passion for it. And our wallets, obviously. And our data, apparently.
Our individuality is replaced - in their eyes - by an aggregate data farm.
No wonder they won't "hear" us, they don't even SEE US.
Unless we can somehow make them understand and CARE about us as a community made up of UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS with a variety of needs, we have no hope of restoring pogo to the glorious state we've fallen in love with over these past few years.
@NianticLabs@MichaelSteranka@johnhanke can you see us?

@DJKidNeo@PokemonGOHubNet Agreed. Haven’t spent a dime since the change. I’ve lost interest in the game after a long series of missteps and bugs from Niantic. And don’t even get me started on GBL.
@ItsFleeceKing I’ve totally lost interest in the game. This was the last straw for me after a whole series of missteps by Niantic where they don’t listen to the players at all. This wasn’t the first time Niantic has ignored massive player feedback.
Trying to host a raid or two during your own raid hour is an absolute nightmare now. You don’t know who’s hit their daily limit, so you sit there inviting people who can’t even join your raid, it’s such a waste of time and SO frustrating.
Why have these limits at all? It doesn’t encourage exploration, it just demotivates people. I know we’ve all read time and time again why these remote raid changes and price increases are terrible for everyone and EVERY type of community, but I still believe in being consistent in my constructive feedback and not giving up or letting new events, new shinies or Go Fests distract us from all of these negative changes.
I say this respectfully and with experience, these limits and price increases don’t ‘rebalance’ the game or something that can be ‘enjoyed by Trainers for years to come’. It’s that simple, get rid of it and let’s not destroy the online community we’ve spent years building through remote raids.

#HearUsNiantic the 40% drop in revenue @NianticLabs faced since nerfing remote raids should tell the company that they need to address the community’s frustrations. And ASAP.
