Today, I listened to the name calling directed at former President Uhuru Kenyatta in Mombasa, where the Kenya kwisha brigade claimed he did nothing for the Coastal region.

As the person who led the Uhuru Delivers Campaign, a robust digital media initiative that tracked, documented and showcased the former President’s flagship projects through research, photography, videography and storytelling, I still have our full archive of data, videos, photos and campaign materials. 

Here are some of the key projects Uhuru’s administration delivered in the Coast region:

✅ Development of Lamu Port (Phase 1 with three berths completed and operational under LAPSSET)
✅ Makupa Causeway Bridge in Mombasa, which significantly eased the Kibarani traffic jam
✅ Dredging and expansion of Kilindini Port, including the second container terminal and Kipevu Oil Terminal
✅ Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) from Mombasa to Nairobi
✅ Rehabilitation of Mama Ngina Waterfront, which Uhuru personally oversaw and commissioned
✅ Rehabilitation of Kongowea and Marikiti markets
✅ Dongo Kundu Bypass linking Mombasa to Kwale County
✅ Mavueni Bypass (Mariakani–Kaloleni–Mavueni Road), providing a direct route from Nairobi to the North Coast via Mariakani
✅ Malindi–Sala Gate Road and Mariakani–Bamba Road

Additionally, Uhuru’s government issued over 800,000 thousand title deeds in the Coastal region to address historical land injustice.

To those accusing him of zero development in the region, please list the major projects your preferred leaders have completed in the Coast over the last four years for public comparison.

He found 3.3 million people already surviving on hand to mouth. He then forcefully hijacked their payslips and deducted their money to fund a housing project that directly benefits his companies. After years of contributing to a health insurance fund, he takes everything away and tells you to start paying again into a system that benefits him directly.

The money Kenyans used to pay into NHIF disappears into thin air. As if that’s not enough, he increases contributions, yet you still don’t receive services at hospitals. He found education affordable but went ahead and cut capitation, making it a luxury for a few elites.

He introduced a confusing funding model in universities, effectively turning higher education into a privilege for the rich. He even shamelessly boasts that building churches is more important than schools and hospitals.

And this is just less than 1% of the unfortunate things the president has done to Kenyans. Yet, he is still asking for another term to continue with these sinister actions. If you find yourself seated with someone singing Tutam, you better be careful. That person is capable of murder.

Today, H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta convened the first grassroots engagement meeting for the Jubilee Party in Murang’a, marking an important step in revitalizing the party’s structures across the country.

In his remarks, the former President articulated the party’s vision for the country, one anchored in unity and development, and underscored the pivotal role of the youth in shaping Kenya’s future, emphasizing that they remain at the heart of the nation’s growth and transformation agenda. He further highlighted Dr. Fred Matiang’i proven record of public service, presenting him as a capable candidate for the presidency under the Jubilee banner.

He also reminded members to pay close attention to credible and value-driven leadership, and to elect leaders capable of representing their constituents with integrity and competence at all levels. He cautioned against being swayed by politicians who may entertain crowds during campaigns but lack the depth and substance required for effective governance.

H.E. Kenyatta reiterated the importance of unity within the opposition, emphasizing that working together remains the surest path to success in the 2027 elections.

Additionally, he issued a firm reminder to Jubilee Party members especially those in the party leadership regarding discipline and decorum in public communication, cautioning those using social media to attack Rigathi Gachagua and other opposition leaders. He stated that such conduct is unacceptable and those persisting in that behaviour will have no place in the party. The President affirmed that Jubilee’s messaging must remain focused on advancing its policy agenda, strengthening grassroots engagement, and building support across the country.

Out of my deep respect for Baba, I had wanted to keep off politics for now.

But my goodness! Did Ruto just say thst hatakubalia wale wanataka kuchukua ODM waende wakacheze karata ya opposition?

In short, he is declaring that he will silence any dissenting voice within ODM.

No wonder, on the very day Baba die, and Ruto being fully aware, in total disregard of everything Baba stood for, he signed the Cybersecurity Bill into law. A law that seeks to muzzle the very freedoms Baba fought for all his life.

The man who fought for this country and protected the citizens freedom is gone 😭.
May God help us as we navigate these uncharted waters under this regime.

As the world leaders gather in New York this week for the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), attention inevitably turns to the institution itself, this year marking 80 years since the founding of the United Nations.

Born out of the failure of the League of Nations to prevent the outbreak of the Second World War, the UN represented humanity’s boldest political innovation of the 20th century: a collective mechanism to preserve peace, promote cooperation, and save succeeding generations from the scourge of war. For eight decades, the organization has in many respects fulfilled that mission. Most notably, the world has not witnessed a Third World War, a testament to the UN’s role as a backstop against catastrophic global conflict. Yet, even as it has succeeded in this overarching goal, the UN has often struggled to respond effectively to localized conflicts and persistent security crises around the globe.

Beyond peace and security, the UN has made indelible contributions to human development. From spearheading the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to rallying the world around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the UN has helped improve lives, expand access to education and healthcare, combat hunger, and advance social progress. These initiatives underscore the organization’s power to mobilize global action and deliver tangible change, especially for vulnerable populations.

Still, challenges abound. Conflicts continue to erupt in various corners of the world, climate change and pandemics pose existential threats, and rising inequality leaves millions behind. Negative political rhetoric sometimes from leaders of powerful states undermines the spirit of cooperation so vital to addressing these global challenges. Internally, the UN system, with its 135,000-strong international civil service, remains hindered by bureaucracy and intellectual rigidity that limit its agility and responsiveness.

And yet, for all its shortcomings, there remains one undeniable fact: the world still believes in the United Nations. Governments, leaders, and ordinary citizens alike recognize the UN as the premier guarantor of multilateral cooperation, and few can imagine a world without it. What many yearn for, however, is reform, far-reaching change in its structures, sharper efficiency in its programs, and greater speed and effectiveness in its responses.

As the UN enters its ninth decade, the choice before the international community is clear. Will we preserve it as a relic of the 20th century, or will we revitalize it as a bold and fit-for-purpose institution for the 21st? And as the UN approaches its centenary, will the Security Council remain frozen in its 1945 design, dominated by five permanent members with veto power, or will it adapt to the needs and dynamics of our time, embracing inclusivity for the Global South, especially Africa, which has long pressed for permanent representation at the highest table of global security?

Uhuru Kenyatta did not have to speak about health matters because he had Mutahi Kagwe, Nancy Mwangangi, and Patrick Amoth, competent individuals who ran the ministry. Today Ruto is the one singing SHIF SHA because he doesn't have anyone competent there.

Uhuru did not have to speak about education, God knows if he knew anything in that ministry. It did not matter because George Magoha had things under control. Today, exams are released after public outcry, let alone no money for capitation.

Uhuru did not have to address the country every now and then because Matiangi and Kibicho commanded respect by themselves. When they spoke everyone felt the government has spoken.

Uhuru's strength was his cabinet. Uhuru's cabinet was so efficient that he did not have to appear in public every time thus retaining the respectable status of head of state. Ruto is everywhere doing everything becoming common and losing respect.

Instead of Ruto chasing transformation he is all over chasing PR no wonder all these setbacks in his government.

Ruto made us think that Uhuru was not SMART but todate we can confirm that they were unable to stay together bec#ause Uhuru was much SMARTER than Ruto and Ruto pretended to be more SMARTER than Uhuru.

Hehehe! It’s laughable to hear Ruto demonizing MPs for allegedly taking money to pass bills or block them. The irony is that he is the chief architect of that very scheme, and quite generous with the payouts too.

We all remember the millions poured into Parliament to push through his Finance Bills in 2023 and 2024. The same goes for the hefty sums dished out to secure support for Gachagua’s impeachment.

So what does Ruto take Kenyans for? Does he really think we can’t see through his lies and theatrics, pretending to be a saint while condemning others for doing exactly what he has perfected?
