Betty White walked onto Johnny Carson’s show in 1979 and basically turned the Garden of Eden into a divorce court. 😂

The setup was already ridiculous: Carson and White played Adam and Eve arguing over who was entitled to what after their relationship fell apart.

But Betty's Eve wasn't going down quietly.

She wanted half of everything, claimed she had performed all the “wifely chores,” demanded custody of the snake, and eventually caught Adam admitting that their love life had gone from three times a day to once every six months.

Johnny finally had to admit: You know, she may have a point.

That's what makes the sketch work. Betty White doesn't just play the straight woman to Carson's jokes, she keeps flipping the argument back on him until Adam basically talks himself into losing everything.

Was Eve actually winning that argument, or was Adam just too dumb to realize he was being outplayed ? 😂
