Who is M Tomtomshana Nongshaba? I've been googling about Tomtomshana ever since he appeared on SK TV debate. I think I'm not the only one, judging by YouTube. This maverick politician has captivated the masses. I think I know why.

He is a politician without the usual tools of the trade - no rallies or appeals to crowds, no PR, no money & he's been to jail. He speaks his mind in interviews without a hint of fear. By his own telling, he has done lots of social work, starting from his unconventional school days. He is the CM 😆

There's a simplicity about the man that's so compelling. He deserves to be an MLA. After all, he is not lacking in ways to differentiate himself from the political aspirations to do something good. Ofc, politics can be both captivating & ugly when people feel shut out.

What kind of privilege is this? Is this tribal chief granted dual citizenship as an exception to the rule? India does not grant dual citizenship, but you are given an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) card. The OCI card allows you to do everything except vote.
