A quick thread on what « digital ownership » actually means 🧵

1️⃣ Buying ≠ Owning

In most traditional games,
your skin exists inside the publisher ecosystem.

You usually can't:

❌Move it to another wallet
❌Freely transfer it
❌Sell it outside approved systems
❌Use it beyond what the publisher allows

You paid for it but you're playing by someone else's rules.

2️⃣ Blockchain introduces a different model

In-game item can potentially exist as an onchain asset tied to your wallet.

That means ownership can be verifiable independently of the game internal database.

Instead of:
Game ↣ controls your item

You can have:
Wallet ↣ holds the asset
Game ↣ recognizes it

That's a subtle but important difference!

3️⃣ But ownership doesn't mean « anything goes ».

Owning a tokenized skin doesn't automatically give you:

Those things still depend on creator, license and technical integrations. Digital ownership isn't unlimited ownership.
