No takers for FCI rice in auctions. Govt of India put on sale 3.86 lakh tonnes of rice. Only 170 tonnes sold at ₹3173 per tonne. 0.0004% sold.
Karnataka Govt was ready to pay ₹34-3600 per tonne for 2.2 lakh tonnes.
Govt of India doesn’t want give rice to people of KA who want to buy and they don’t have other buyers. They will lose money and get stuck with unsold stock, but will not give rice to people of Karnataka. #annabhagya
