Asmongold goes off and defends himself after receiving massive backlash for saying that Stellar Blade: Blood Rain character “Evie” looks too young and that her voice doesn’t match the character 👀
“Let me get it all the way out there: I'm still gonna play this game. I don't think that this is inside of the danger zone, but I just think the character looks a little bit too young for my taste, and I wish that she had a more adult looking face. If that bothers you, too bad”
Stellar Blade director Kim Hyung Tae has revealed that the game’s central theme was inspired by Battle Angel Alita and born from witnessing a taxi drivers’ strike over fears of autonomous vehicles replacing human workers.
“The story came to my mind one day as I witnessed taxi drivers on strike. The strike erupted when self-driving car technologies began advancing, almost hinting at their near-future implementation.
Watching those events led him to wonder what would happen if humans themselves were replaced by something non-human.
“As I watched them on strike, I asked myself what I would do if this were to happen to me—if one day humans were entirely replaced by something non-human. This is where the theme for Stellar Blade originates.”
Kim said that the team wanted to create an action-adventure game first and foremost.
“We tried to create an action-adventure game that players can enjoy as they follow Eve’s story.”
It looks like they will give her more tomboyish baggier attire. Also less "physics" than Eve had. I wyas really concerned but if you watch the trailer isnt not the same vibe as Eve.
The discourse around Evie's looks in Stellar Blade: Blood Rain is quite silly and both sides are cherry-picking images like crazy.
She looks sus in certain shots but she also looks like a normal young Asian woman in others.
It's almost as if it's still early in development...
Street Fighter 6 recent reviews on steam are currently mixed after the Year 4 reveal
The current reviews are a mixture of excitement for Tifa Lockhart, but disappointment for 3 new character and no returning
From Max's Stream,
question about Tifa in SF6
- There're already many game IPs who contact & request for her before SF6
- Tifa is popular so they feel like they don't want to give her away easily
- One of the reasons why they choose SF6 is because of the timing of FF7 Rev release
- With the plan to promote FFVII Rev, there're also looking for opportunity for more crossover
During Maximilian Dood's interview with Hamaguchi, he was asked how Tifa ended up being included in the SF6 collaboration. Hamaguchi explained that Tifa had been requested by multiple companies, but they didn't accept Hamaguchi's offer (conditions maybe?) until Capcom showed up
I did nothing but only gave some easy advice to her and that's it.
Everything she made is her own ability.
I was thinking of doing what she does but I'm still playing good to move on next step.
Of course, I'm trying but she also works hard and makes it real what I thought. 👍
I used to be “the worst student” in English class when I was in high school.
I’ve never lived abroad, I’ve never studied overseas. While most of my classmates left Korea to go to universities in other countries, I decided to stay in Korea. The reason was simple, 'I didn't wanna use English anymore'.
Then I started Tekken, and I fell in love with both the game and the community. One day, my mentor CBM told me
“Korea is one of the strongest regions in the world, but there aren’t many people connecting Korean Tekken scene to the global scene. I think you can become the bridge between two.”
Making English content was totally okay. But English commentary during the live stream was a completely different challenge. I was terrified of being judged for my weird grammar, my pronunciation, and all the mistakes I would inevitably make.
But so many people encouraged me, helped me to improve, and believed in me when I didn’t fully believe in myself. I want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported me on this journey🙏
Some people might think, “It’s just one single commentary for a Master event." But for me, this felt like overcoming one of the scariest obstacles of my life.
More importantly, it felt like taking a step toward the dream that brought me into the FGC in the first place, to become a bridge between Korean Tekken and the global fighting game community.
I know I still have to practice and learn A LOT😅 But I want to keep sharing the stories of players from Korea and all around the world. So I’ll continue working hard to improve every day!!!
Thank you for believing in me🫶 I will work hard, and always try my best!
For TEKKEN fans, yeah, I think we "won".
We got our legacy characters back, and SF players seem pretty unhappy with their pass overall.
But I don't buy for one second that Yujiro is going to drive more people to TEKKEN than Tifa would.
Nothing wrong with being a tomboy, thinner or having a baby face. But she does look very young and I don’t like pedos winning. I prefer Eve. Giving how sexualized stellar blade is this is not okay.
