With inclement weather approaching, the City of Placerville is making sandbags available to city residents. Sandbags are at the Placerville Police Department and sand is available near the bike trail behind the Toy Tech.

Today was an exciting day at Sierra Elementary! PPD Officers and K-9 Ares visited 2nd graders for a K-9 demo, showing training, teamwork & dedication. Students learned about police work, report writing, and enjoyed goodies & an amazing demo by Ares and his handler Corp. Robinson.
The Placerville Police Department extends our heartfelt condolences to the La Mesa Police Department, family, friends, and all mourning the loss of Officer Lauren Craven, killed in the line of duty while assisting at a traffic collision.
