@ChestneyNathan @Castle_ABC The first class rate went up to 49 cents in January 2014. That episode aired in October 2014. I think all first class stamps at the 49 cent rate in 2014 were “forever” stamps and didn’t have a “49” on the stamp.

@mystampjourney Fun fact: these 15 dinosaur stamps are the only stamps I know of that were released after January 1, 1995 that don’t have a date on them. The design has a 1997 date in the selvage of each of the two panels, but they aren’t on the individual stamps.

@sciphi_Ananya There are at least 52 designs, with many varieties with precancels, different color paper or ink, and being tagged or untagged.

I'm working on my album in the transportation coils and looking for some of the precancelled varieties, then I stumbled on a bag of stamps at a thrift shop that was almost all precancels! $10. Here's some that are sorted. Serendipitous! #philately #precancels #stamps

Others like the green 1 cent washington up top can have 700 different precancels

Some of these will have bureau precancels from upwards of 150 different cities, I'm glad at least 3 of the stamps had 25+ different cities on them.

@ChestneyNathan I really wish the USA got more into the semi-postals. There's only 6 since 1998 - breast cancer, alzheimers, PTSD, domestic violence, vanishing animal species, and for victims and families of 9/11
