"We would like to start by saying thank you to the more than 350k players who joined us throughout the Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Open Beta, as well as everyone who took the time to share their feedback with us.

Over the course of the weekend, we loved seeing your clips, screenshots, stories and discussions across social media, Discord, Reddit and our feedback survey. We were also thrilled to see so many of our War Correspondents, content creators and community members sharing their experiences with others.

We want Hell Let Loose: Vietnam to deliver the best possible experience for players on both PC and console. Following intensive internal testing, coupled with the open beta feedback, we've identified several areas where additional development time will allow us to deliver a stronger launch experience.

As a result, we have decided to delay the launch of Hell Let Loose: Vietnam to 13th August.

We know many of you have been patiently awaiting the next chapter in the Hell Let Loose franchise, and we do not take this decision lightly. However, we firmly believe that taking additional time now is the right choice for both the game and the community. We’d also like to thank you for your feedback across surveys, Discord, Reddit and beyond.

The additional development time will allow the team to focus on improving performance, stability and overall gameplay quality ahead of launch. We will continue to share updates on our progress in the coming weeks and provide further information as we move closer to release.

Black Rambo Hip-Firing the M60 in Vietnam 🇺🇸

In late 1967, a US Army supply convoy drove straight into a Viet Cong kill zone. In ten minutes, 30 trucks were burning, seven drivers dead and 17 wounded. The VC had mapped every route the convoys used and knew how to turn supply columns into a turkey shoot.

Without any armor or firepower worth mentioning, the drivers were practically sitting ducks every time they left the gate.
Something had to change. But official Army channels could take months, and the men in those convoys didn't have that kind of time. So they simply built their own gun trucks in the motor pool. At first, they bolted sandbags and wooden planks onto the back of 2.5-ton trucks. They soaked up monsoon rain, snapped axles, and turned the trucks into overloaded coffins.

On paper, the only weapon allowed was the M60 machine gun. The guys driving through the kill zones had a different opinion. They strolled over to the Air Force, talked them out of .50 cals, and yanked miniguns off Hueys. One crew mounted their minigun without its electric motor and hand-cranked it through firefights like a Civil War Gatling gun.

They proved themselves a few months later at Ambush Alley. Charging straight into the kill zone, the gun trucks lit up the treeline. The Americans lost four gun trucks and six cargo trucks, but the VC got smoked, left 41 dead and pulled back.

From then on, convoys ran one gun truck per ten cargo trucks.

First Lieutenant Gerald Santo Venanzi had been shot down over North Vietnam, forced to eject into dense jungle where he was immediately hunted, captured, and marched through unfamiliar terrain. Still wearing his flight suit and survival gear, he moves with exhaustion and disorientation, his head turned downward.

Behind him, a North Vietnamese woman, untrained, likely a villager pressed into local militia service, holds a rifle and guides him through the undergrowth.

While the U.S. deployed advanced jets, guided munitions, and elite pilots, the North Vietnam leaned heavily on local networks of farmers, teenagers, laborers, and civilians who became part-time soldiers. This was a war where entire villages were mobilized, where people who had never left their province suddenly found themselves guarding captured airmen from half a world away.

Venanzi survived his capture and later endured imprisonment under severe conditions before being released in 1973 as part of Operation Homecoming.

Between 1964-1973, more than 700 American airmen were shot down and captured in North Vietnam, the vast majority during bombing operations over the North.

Hoang shot Kathy Brown Arceneaux FIVE times and killed her. He was convicted of murder and sentenced to prison.

.@ICEgov has ARRESTED Dinh Quy Nguyen, a criminal illegal alien from Vietnam, who was convicted of attempted murder of a POLICE OFFICER in 1989.

After being taken into ICE custody in 2011, Nguyen was released and allowed to roam free in our communities due to a previous agreement between the U.S. and Vietnam that made ICE unable to repatriate Vietnamese citizens who entered our nation prior to July 12, 1995.

@POTUS Trump ELIMINATED those limitations — and now our ICE law enforcement is able to REMOVE this heinous criminal from our nation.
