Why must we not forget that? Because it was a society that marginalised and looked the other way that made this possible. It all began with the stigmatisation, exclusion and demonisation of human beings. Yesterday sounds a bit like today. The 27 January also reminds us of this.

It's the anniversary of the liberation of Auchswitz. Many times I've wondered what the last minutes were like for the souls locked in gas chambers realising their death was here. Mothers with children, aged relatives, hundreds of them crammed there.
