I’m also a huge #Tolkien fan. And this is an awesome project. I recorded my interview last night. If you are Tolkien fan too, check it out. The J.R.R. Tolkien Fandom Oral History Collection // Archives // Raynor Library // Marquette University https://t.co/yPiz6ooVuF
@muaddibstyle We use the terms olfactory, basic and gustatory in early childhood Montessori classes. Six-year-olds can get it. People on X are choosing not to get it because they want to sneer at someone who has done something they haven’t.
I know that the main thing to take away from this is not that Wilson had a brother-in-law called Hunter deButts— and, yet, that is all I am taking away from this.
Woodrow Wilson pardoned his brother-in-law, Hunter deButts.
Bill Clinton pardoned his brother, Roger.
Donald Trump pardoned his daughter’s father-in-law, Charlie Kushner. And just appointed him Ambassador to France.
But tell me again how Joe Biden “is setting precedent”? 🤣🤣
@IDEASOFICE_FIRE Agreed with you assessment. The episode was fine on its own but it was telling a different story. Two episodes of palace intrigue, Desmond’s powers and the Sisters trying for the throne. That’s what I want I. This season. Ep 3 would have been a great Ep 1 of a different season.
@TSoS_ I really liked E3, but it felt like watching the first episode of a different (and maybe better) show. Only three episodes left and there is still a ton of plot to cover.

One of my favourite aspects of #DuneProphecy is the fact that this high budget sci-fi show is led by two women in their mid 50s. Very unconventional in general and practically unheard of in sci-fi. Olivia Williams & Emily Watson carry this show so effortlessly on their backs.
@TSoS_ Absolutely. This was the finest scene in the show so far. And it showed us something none of the other adaptations have presented — going through the agony from the interior perspective of the candidate. Very trippy and creepy.
@mercurialblonde@abu_zafar I was hoping Desmond would be the proto-assassin, using some sort of poison and ushering the concept of Kanly and wars of assassins. I think the ghola ideas is much more likely at this point.
@mercurialblonde@abu_zafar Fair point. But even Leto II didn’t set people on fire from across the universe. His “magic” was soft — prescience — not hard, like throwing a D&D fireball millions of miles.
