FUN FACT: Several different options for achieving the effect were considered, from a Translight on the floor to full 3D simulations. Ultimately a more 2D approach was taken.

There's currently a lot of talk about LINE OF DUTY returning next year. This was a shot from Season 3 where I had to paint out crew, reposition the main characters and add in a lot of background people and cars.

Here I had to remove some telephone wires, a modern looking window/wall/chimney stack, a mast from a modern boat and a railing and satellite dish for GAME OF THRONES season 5.

Another unplanned for VFX shot, this time for THE FRANKENSTEIN CHRONICLES. It was decided that the plastic prop knife looked too clean and plasticky. My task was to make it look well used and sharper.

This shot is from a feature film called ROBOT OVERLORDS. I had to comp in two giant killer robots as apparently there were no giant killer robots available on the day it was filmed. ;-)

At only 45 frames (1.8sec) long this is one of the 'blink and you'll miss it' shots we did for Disney's THE LODGE.

Bat animation was done by Alan Martin and I did the compositing.

ZOO is a film based on a true story. We had to composite a baby elephant that was filmed in Canada into the background plate that what recorded in Belfast Northern Ireland.

Crowd duplication is fun. Here we turn a modest amount of extras into the vast crowd that came to see President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton at Guildhall Square in 1995 for the Bafta winning DERRY GIRLS.
