After 6 months of work, we're proud to finally share our first release of our new smart contract language:

To fix the fundamental issues plaguing smart contract development we're rebuilding the language stack from the ground up. ποΈ

We are set to receive $14k on top of the $4k we've already received in direction donations. π₯³πΈ
Want to once again thank everyone who donated and the @Giveth team. π
We're heads down & continuing to cook!

v0.2 (release ~July) will be "make it nice"
25h left in the QF round!
Please donate: https://t.co/WGuVMkQ3mv π
We've already shipped a full compiler that's up to 74x faster than solc, has metaprogramming, generics and more.
With your support we'll:
- have the best gas & bytecode size
- ship an LSP
- audit the compiler
Minor Release Alert v0.1.1 β¨

@RaoulSaffron Yes, v0.1 is still very DIY.
Working on features thatβll allow us to make standard library building blocks that will abstract a lot of that away.
Our philosophy is generic capability >> hardcoded one off feature.
Proud to announce our first grant from @argotorg to design a next gen stack scheduling algorithm for the EVM and implement it for our IR.
The project's goals are:
- excellent codegen quality
- no stack too deep
- adaptable to @official_fe's Sontina IR and @solidity_lang
IT'S ALIVE!!! β‘οΈ
Super pumped to share a major milestone in @plankevm's development:
We have the first E2E codegen working.
Meaning plank in, EVM bytecode out. βοΈ
There's so much low hanging fruit both in usability & gas optimization but so happy to see progress.
We've just merged our first external contribution, from @Abhishekdotsol. π
We're still setting up the backbone of the compiler so opportunities to tie in external contributors are sparse for now, but stay tuned if you're interested in EVM compilers! βοΈ
Our first blog post is up! We explain our high-level vision, design & roadmap. ποΈ
