Every time I go to my hometown I’m triggered by memories of sexual abuse and incest. Driving by my old work, his name coming up in discussions with family members, evidence of him popping up in my childhood bedroom as I rummage through drawers. I’m tired. It’s been 20 years… 😔
It is Sexual Assault Awareness Month #SAAM and I am still healing from the sexual trauma that happened to me over 18 years ago by a trusted member of my own family and then by my HS JROTC instructor. Today I stand in solidarity with other victims and survivors of sexual abuse🩷

I found out yesterday that due to the generosity and kindness of one of my favorite coworkers who has included me in her plans, I WILL BE SEEING @taylorswift13 in concert in August!🥳 I know *all too well* just how life altering this will be and I'm so grateful and excited🥲🥹
And I hope the sun shines
And it's a beautiful day
And something reminds you
You wish you had stayed
You can plan for a change in weather and time
But I never planned on you changing your mind
Speak Now TV coming in July... and in honor of this incredible announcement, I'll be filling my timeline with a series of my favorite lyrics from the album. Initial thoughts: this album will fucking wreck me. The lyrics I include in this series will help you understand why.
So I'll watch your life in pictures like I used to watch you sleep
And I feel you forget me like I used to feel you breathe
And I keep up with our old friends just to ask them how you are
Hope it's nice where you are
