He is just 24yo , Texted twenty minutes later:
"got home safe, tonight was really nice, I'll call you this week if that's okay?"
...Sir.
Called.
Not "hey you up."
CALLED.
I don't know what's in the water with the older guys but half of them treat basic courtesy like a bonus round.
Meanwhile this one's out here just... being normal.
Being kind.
Not making it weird.
Anyway.
Lower the age range.
Raise the standards.
See what happens...
I'm not gonna lie, I deadass dropped my airpod case and both airpods went flying, I found my left one but I've been ssearching for my left one for like 8 hours and still can't find them in the bedroom, what the helly, this sucks
3 months ago I considered quitting streaming full-time after doing it for the last 7 years.
It was consistently getting worse and worse month by month for 3 years straight, and it had gotten to a point where I realized that as I’m getting older, and especially now that I’m a husband (and someday a father) that I shouldn’t be wasting my time doing things that don’t give me a return on my time investment.
And so, on a random day in late March, I had a sit-down conversation with my wife and told her that I’d direct all my efforts into really trying to make it on YouTube instead and that since my streams were already doing badly, cutting my hours by two thirds and dedicating that to recording videos instead would be a better use of my time.
She tried convincing me that the only thing missing from my streams was the spark of motivation and hunger that I once had and that I should just try harder, but none of her input swayed me because in my mind my path was already decided…
A few days later Jynxzi started playing League of Legends and asked me if I wanted to be his coach.
Since then, life has felt like a blur.
For the first time in forever I feel happy, motivated, and content simultaneously.
I wasn’t even planning on making a post about this, but after taking a few days off work to go on a true vacation with my wife and then coming back home and realizing that I haven’t felt stressed out at all by the lack of streams recently it really set in for me how different things really are nowadays, and for that I wanted to take a second to thank all of you for making that, and all of this, possible.
The scariest part of it all wasn’t hearing people tell me on a daily basis that I had fallen from a point that I’d never get back to;
It was believing it.
And so to my wife Laura, to Jynxzi, to my family, to my friends, to those who have always stuck around as well as those of you who are starting to stick around;
Thanks for helping me believe in myself again.
It means more than you know.
I can’t wait to continue to give you all the best version of myself, and my content, that I possibly can.
