This is such a regressive step - I've accessed PHP three times over my training with severe clinical depression. Being able to access rapid psychiatric care was instrumental in my recovery and got me back to work sooner than if this service wasn't available. Total false economy.

I accessed @NHSPracHealth after miscarriages, partners brain tumour, doing final FRCA during that and then failing the FFICM OSCE whilst pregnant - where would I be without them? In a much worse place I suspect.

This is a mistake.

Cost cutting in all the wrong places.

@anaes_spr @RCoANews @doctorhelgi Sorry for late reply. Birthed a human on Monday. AFAIK, 1:1 was only mentioned by AoA. Supervision needs to be clarified but I do think that implementation of res 1/2 needs to be done first and should be applauded for actually happening. Change is being enacted.

Unclear if they quit or something else but I can’t imagine working in that’s kind of stressful environment was nice. And if they all quit? Well…..I don’t know in all honesty but clearly disastrous.

Long term inadequate resourcing and then a recruitment freeze at NHS England level. We are genuinely worried about the ability of the recruitment team to do their job due to inadequate staffing.

Blanket recruitment freezes cause enormous damage and endanger critical core processes.

They need to run on more than 3 people and have proper guidance. I’m on mat leave now but I really hope @DrMattTuck @DavidUrwin94 @RCoANews can make some headway in to this.

And there it is. At 15.30 on Friday, the email from ANRO saying scores won’t be out today having held up the charade all week. No commitment to a firm date of when they will be releasing the results. A mediocre and empty apology.

The organisation should hang its head in shame.

@MattKnipe @AnaesUnited @JeanetteRCR @AoMRC @RCoANews I read that statement and rolled my eyes. As @DrMattTuck said, PAs aren’t really our associates. Members are important and @RCoANews has shown that by carrying out a member wide survey re AAs and by working on the outcomes of the EGM. That’s more than other colleges.
