Zendaya, Tom Holland, and R. Patt all are gonna have established fan bases that’ll watch whatever they’re in. A film like The Drama would’ve made like $2 if they weren’t in it. A big actor signing onto a project basically is insurance that it’ll actually get picked up/made

I do like all of them but yeah it’s just further indication of the corporatization of the industry + the way things are shrinking in terms of the established studio system. An executive would rather have someone well known who’ll get butts in seats over casting a random nobody
