PostgreSQL support in Releem is now available 🎉
Teams can now use the same Releem workflow across MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL.
PostgreSQL support helps teams understand database health, monitor activity, identify and address security issues, and tune configuration to improve performance.
Schema analysis and query optimization are coming soon.
We first opened it to users on our waitlist, collected feedback, and used that feedback to improve the product before the public release.
Big thank you to everyone on the waitlist who helped us shape the product 🙌
Here's the story behind how TuningWizard team joined Releem! 🎉
I met Gabriel Ciciliani (founder of TuningWizard) about three years ago through Peter Zaitsev. From the very first conversation, it felt like we were on the same wavelength - both passionate about making database management simpler and more automated.
We started looking out for each other’s products, supporting one another, and sharing insights. At that time, Releem was just taking its first steps into SQL query optimization.
Funny enough, we also discovered we both have two kids the same ages🙂
Over the past year, we've been working together to bring SQL Query Optimization into Releem.
Here's what that looked like in practice:
1. Over 8M Queries were optimized on thousands of DB servers.
2. Over 35K SQL queries are analyzed daily
3. Saved hundreds of hours for users
What stood out to me during this collaboration was how naturally our approaches fit together. We kept experimenting, learning from real use cases, and refining things until it resonated with users.
That gave me confidence that our teams share not only the same vision, but also the same way of building ( LEAN startup ❤️ ).
Now we're making it official. Gabriel and TuningWizard are part of Releem, and I couldn’t be happier. Together we’ll keep building tools that make database management easier 💪

We’re thrilled to welcome the TuningWizard team - led by founder Gabriel Ciciliani - into the Releem family!
Together, we’ll continue building tools that make database management smarter, simpler, and more automated.

“When will you support PostgreSQL?”
That’s been the #1 request since we launched Releem in 2020.
We stayed laser-focused on MySQL/MariaDB, but we couldn’t ignore our community. Over the years, we jumped into countless Postgres tuning sessions - manual configs, late-night debugging, the whole nine yards. Every time I thought: we need to build Releem for Postgres.
Now it’s happening. Releem is coming to PostgreSQL 🚀
✅ Easy install
✅ Smart monitoring
✅ AI-powered optimization & tuning
✅ No more 3am performance firefights 😅
We’re looking for early users who:
1. Run PostgreSQL in production
2. Want real performance insights
3. Aren't afraid give blunt feedback ❤️

Releem users can now find slow SQL queries and optimize them in just two clicks.
Here’s a demo from one of our production servers.
Yes, it’s recursion - Releem optimizing Releem’s database servers! 😄
I'm excited to announce that Automatic SQL Query Optimization and Index Recommendations are now live for Releem users running MySQL 8.x.
MariaDB support is just around the corner.
With this new feature, Releem automatically:
- Analyzes your top 100 SQL queries and the top 100 slowest queries.
- Identifies inefficiencies in those queries.
- Recommends precise index improvements.
After weeks of testing with Releem users, the feedback has been incredible🤯

Thanks to everyone who responded! You're amazing! With less than half an hour left and the lead so close, every vote counts. If you haven't voted yet, please take a moment to do so. Your vote could change everything!
First ProductHunt launch is near the end.
We're currently in 3rd place 🥉 with just 1 hour to go!
Thank you for your kind support🙌

It was started as a side project 4 years ago and now it helped manage and tune MySQL on thousands of db servers for over 4000 users.
Any kind of support is much appreciated❤️
Thank you!
Why I decided to build a product around databases?
There was a time when my team and I managed around 200 database servers with MySQL and MariaDB.
The pain point was that only experienced engineers could tune the database servers, but it took a lot of time, and even they made human errors.
That's why I decided to simplify the tuning process and save their time.
I tried to find the application that could tune MySQL for best performance, preferably in the fully automatic mode.
My search did not return a solution that could be called good, let alone perfect.
I decided to build it.
The first version takes not much time. It was a simple rule-based cloud platform combined with a Bash script. This script sent a MySQLTuner JSON report to the platform and received a configuration file in return.
This version saved our team dozens of human hours monthly, allowing engineers to focus on other tasks.
But that was just the first step...
Any kind of support for our Product Hunt launch is much appreciated ❤️ Thank you!

@agabekovroman Kudos to the Releem team for listening to users and building a solution for a common problem! This kind of responsiveness and dedication is what makes a great product.
