We had Rashford, Saka, Toney and Watkins on the bench. To stretch the game. He had the bench. He chose it!

@danbardell 💯 Southgate was by no means perfect and wasn’t brave enough. But we were all told this elite manager would be different. Go for it. Take the risk. He’s a fraud . Look back to Sir Bobby in 86 and 90. We lost but threw everything at them. That was bravery.

@williamnhutton I’m sorry Will. He isn’t a great manager. His only tactic was to defend deep. His main substitutions were taking attackers off for defenders - right through the tournament. At this level against the very best you cannot hunker down and hope to get through the blitz.
