Hot take: you don't know your actual padel level.
Not because you're not good enough — but because the apps you're using to track it are broken.
Win/loss doesn't tell the whole story. Score margins matter. Opponent quality matters.
We built PADLR. to fix this.
Your padel rating is probably wrong.
Not slightly wrong.
Most apps look at wins and losses. That's it.
They ignore who you beat. They ignore the scoreline.
PADLR uses a proper algorithm — one that actually reflects your level.
A rating you can trust. Finally. 🎾
The difference is in the detail.
Every decision we made building PADLR came from one question:
what does a padel player actually need?
Not a tennis player. Not a casual booker.
A padel player. 🎾⚡

Thread: how PADLR calculates your padel rating 🧵
1/ Most apps just track W/L. You win, you go up. You lose, you go down. Simple — but deeply inaccurate.
4/ Uncertainty matters. A new player with 3 matches has a wide uncertainty range. A player with 200 matches has a tight, accurate rating. We show both.
5/ We built this using OpenSkill — the same algorithm behind competitive gaming rankings — adapted for padel.
We've been quietly building something for padel players.
Not another booking app.
Not adapted from tennis.
Not a rating system that ignores the actual score.
PADLR.
Soon.
For context:
We're using OpenSkill — the same algorithm family used in competitive gaming rankings — adapted specifically for padel's 0.0–7.0 scale.
Every match you log makes your rating more accurate. Not more arbitrary.
This is what padel players deserve.
