@pbrody Another thing that annoys human programmers but doesn't phase AI - infinite UI tweaks. Boy, it's *really* great to be able to change and change and change a UI. It gets a lot better that way.
@JoshYohe_PGH@QuinnVogt49Gold While wanting the team to win, Dubas brought Malkin back. $5.5 million and no trade assets for a player of his caliber, age be damned, is a great deal. Trocheck would cost trade assets.
@NormOrnstein@aravosis Instead of a stopwatch for the iconic animation, use an analog wall clock that uses the minute hand around from 12 o’clock wise to 12, moving the our hand from 12 to one.
@JoshYohe_PGH@npc210 ... or like saying Geno is better than Sid because they had virtually identical points per game and Geno had a markedly better +/- for the whole 2025-26 season.
@JoshYohe_PGH Why is this signing not a win for the team? How is the team better without Malkin? How many of their players played better than him last year?
@jmarshfof Uhhh, yeah. Duh. Those journalists who thought this was in doubt have irrevocably damaged their reputations. There was never an easier decision for a GM to make.
@JoshYohe_PGH Duh… Your manufacture of a controversy on this subject was an epic failure. Faceplant. This is a no-brainer, and has been since mid-season. And it’s not so because it makes Sid feel all warm and fuzzy.
@JoshYohe_PGH The logic that Dubas described yesterday for wanting to sign Malkin is well-known to all of us. The decision to sign him is obvious, given his performance last year and the lack of younger players being blocked by him. Why did you say this was in danger of not happening?
@pghhockeyNOW Duh…. The chatter among a journalist over the past couple of months about the “controversy“ on whether to resign Geno has been absolutely ridiculous.
@JoshYohe_PGH So, Malkin has two points - a goal and an assist - and Sid has none, but Malkin's the old man who needs to be put out to pasture? No player is looking great, but Sid needs to shoulder a lot of the blame...
