NEW 🚨: FIFA have opened disciplinary proceedings against Spanish FA President Luis Rubiales.

This comes after Jennifer Hermoso's union called for him to 'not go unpunished - after he kissed her without consent during the World Cup medal ceremony.

Hermoso has spoken out, saying her union Futpro would "defend my interests" in the matter.

What should have been a celebration of women's football has been blighted by misogyny, abuse and sexism.

The UK has fallen down in the rankings on workers rights because of the Conservatives attack on the right to strike.

The UK is accused of a “systematic violation of rights” because of the introduction of the Strikes Bill.

The US State Department’s latest "Trafficking in Persons" report lists Qatar, the UAE, Malaysia, South Africa, and Saudi Arabia as Tier 2 Countries, and Bahrain as Tier 1.

While we welcome the decision to place Malaysia and South Africa in Tier 2, we are deeply concerned by the decision to list the Gulf states in Tier 2.

(of course, it being the Star there's an error in it - the Sydney games were held in the Northern Hemisphere's autumn, not summer, ending on 1 October, so this is really the least problematic aspect of a Qatar bid!)
