A beautiful day to be outside and at the ballpark! This morning, we celebrated the rededication of the Mike Simpson Miracle Field at Harold Bacchus Community Park. The field first opened in 2007, and today the Miracle League of Frisco and @PlayFrisco hosted a ribbon‑cutting ceremony for the newly renovated field and the new all‑inclusive playground as part of opening day festivities.

It’s National Bike ’n Roll to School Day! 🚴‍♀️🎒

Cold morning? No problem. Students and families rolled out, geared up and biked or walked to school.

The City of Frisco Transportation Division, @FriscoPD and @PlayFrisco partnered with Frisco ISD to highlight bike safety and the importance of staying active.

A project to shore up a creek channel to protect a hike and bike trail and fishing pier is almost complete. The channel existed long before the neighborhood was built near Main Street and Teel Parkway and erosion was becoming a problem. Shepherds Glen Neighborhood Park in southeast Frisco will reopen in a matter of months following a reinvestment project. Heritage Center Closed January 13-17

While crews wrap up maintenance, both the museum and the historic village will be closed from Tuesday, January 13 through Saturday, January 17.

The facility is expected to reopen on Tuesday, January 20 with normal hours, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Do you know any creative first graders who love to draw? ✍️

@PlayFrisco is accepting original hand-drawn designs for the 2026 "Your Time to Shine" Holiday Art Contest through Jan. 16. The winning design will be transformed into a glowing light motif displayed in a city park or facility.

Beavers Bend Park is getting a makeover, and we want your input!

'Shape your play' by providing feedback on the designs for the reinvestment project at the upcoming virtual meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m.
