A new build is now available on Steam and Itch. I've dramatically reduced memory usage and tried to address some performance and stability issues. Stay safe everyone!
@Drogambio That's not necessary, because the game already builds natively under Linux. The main obstacle towards a Steam distribution (for macOS and Linux) is a lack of time to build and test. I'd love to support all major storefronts and OSes for future titles.
MoonQuest FAQ:
Q. When will MoonQuest for macOS & Linux appear on Steam?
A. Due to limited resources I have no plans for that at the moment. If I see a strong interest in the macOS and Linux ports of MoonQuest reflected in https://t.co/KmuY1xcxUb sales then this will change!
New build! This patch addresses a number of issues that players have been experiencing. It also adds a helpful "Precision Mining" mode. (Hold Shift to disable block snapping while mining.)
This build is available now through Steam and will appear shortly through Itch.

At its heart @playmoonquest is a game about exploring small worlds with random elements jumbled together. One of those elements are the moons.
The Pale Moon gives the player some extra protection. It appears only for some characters, making the game easier.
@DanielEscoz Building is the easy part. But then you have to test and support the Steam build, which involves a lot of work. At the moment my goal is to provide a basic Linux and macOS port. I may follow up with more avenues of distribution for those platforms, but I doubt I can afford it.
