Playset is launching its token today: $PLAYSET, on https://t.co/41D9etsHvg, paired with solana:CARDSccUMFKoPRZxt5vt3ksUbxEFEcnZ3H2pd3dKxYjp.
Playset pools graded slabs vaulted by Collector Crypt, one card at one grade, and lets anyone own a slice.
The token isn't used inside Playset yet.
The contract address will be posted here and on https://t.co/DmmDyF3nMG, nowhere else.
I know you're thinking, Pikachu, Eevee, and Charmander, big deal.
All goes well and we start sourcing medium-tier characters where the unit price is more like $3-5.
But as the steps progress, what gets harder is sourcing more slabs.
Consider consigning your slabs. If they're from widely available modern sets and characters, DM us, we'll make it worthwhile.
The @metaplex infrastructure has long been established and metaplex is one of the premier builders in the Solana NFT space.
All I've done is put some rules in place on how it can be used to incentivized fractionalization.
Oh and all the gacha machines with higher than CC EVs, NBD.
Slabs with specific characters and grades draw a specific established price band.
We capture that before wrapping the first slab in a pool.
In order to keep everyone incentivized and "number go up" the unit price does indeed, go up.
slabs go crackkkkkkk, money goes brrrrrr
First up, $PLAYSET utility:
Burn $PLAYSET toward the slab you want pooled next and pledge SOL for its units.
When pledges cover the slab, we buy it and open the pool, and summoners get the first units at the lowest price.
Unfilled in 14 days, the SOL comes back.
I don't think this is news, but @Collector_Crypt is now listing slabs on Robinhood Chain.
The minted slab and its issuing authority don't change. The asset just gets more utility.
That's the model for physical collectibles on chain: one card in one vault, one cert, one custodian, and as many venues as want it. Nothing about the slab is reissued or re-graded. It just becomes reachable from more places.
The card doesn't move. The market around it does.
We want to be in front.
I'd really love to get some feedback from chat.
Do you own any tokenized cards on any chain?
Why or why not?
Frequent answer supporting:
- Yes, because their value is more liquid.
Frequent answer against:
- No, because I don't need their value to be more liquid.
What's your take?
A major bank just projected tokenized real-world assets reaching $10 trillion by 2030.
Most of that will be treasuries, funds and real estate. Graded trading cards are already on chain today: Collector Crypt vaults the slabs, and each one is a token on Solana.
Playset takes the next step: one graded slab, split into 100 units. You can own 1/100 of a PSA 10 for about a dollar, or collect 100 units and take the whole slab out into your wallet. Anyone holding a matching slab can consign it into a pool.
Three pools are live right now: Pikachu, Eevee and Charmander, all PSA 10.
Early is an understatement.

As more of the world's assets move on chain, the question is who gets to own them.
Whole assets are already out of reach for most people: a house, a share of a fund, a gem-mint graded card.
If ownership only comes in whole units, the lower half of the economy just watches.
Playset brings it back into reach.
English PSA 10 over other grades and graders.
I don't make the rules, they have the highest value.
I ingest all Courtyard, Collectors Crypt, Phygitals, and onchain data from all those collections on Polygon and Solana for slabbasis.
I then compare the bids, asks, and ebay comps.
I've been ingesting data for months.
Currently closing in an index for the spread between PSA 10 and CGC 10. As well as the spread between PSA 9 and 10.
Playset cards get chosen because of their availability.
Wrapping a single card is boring.
Consignment is where it gets interesting.
You bring your card, get issued units, and get paid fees and rewards. Passively.
Pool #3: Charmander #038 PSA 10, the First Partner Illustration Collection promo.
Units start at about $1.03 and rise as they sell. 100 units take the slab out into your wallet.

New pool: Eevee #173 PSA 10, the Prismatic Evolutions ETB promo.
Units start at about $1.13. Each one costs a little more than the last, and 100 units take the slab out of the vault into your wallet.
