In our commitment to the coffee, tea, and milk subsectors, we remain upbeat to our promise to the people Kenya, especially the smallerholder farmers.
Kenya continues to explore various collaborations and global partnerships towards this end.
This week, we were delighted to host a delegation from Colombia-members of the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia, for a five-day peer-to-peer review, and today, I had a moment to host them on their last working day in Nairobi.
We are glad the knowledge exchange on coffee farming and research on the crop continues to take shape as we are set to get into collaboration in the coming days.
We hope to tap into Colombia's experience and success as a top global producer of high quality and premium coffee flavors.
We have a lot to learn from our partners, including lessons for our vibrant cooperative movement.
Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Cooperatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development @CsChelugui, Colombian Ambassador to Kenya H.E Pedro Leon Cortes Ruiz, Chairperson of the National Assembly Committee on Agriculture and Livestock Dr. John Mutunga, and various stakeholders in the Coffee sub-sector joined me.
