I often misunderstand kindness for friendship, finding myself falling into the painful trap of misunderstanding acquaintanceship for close friendship; stuck in a cycle of remembering, pulling myself away from those emotions, wrapped in my own loneliness, and forgetting again.

Hearing about prevalence of sexual violence in Oz reminded me of a discussion around the need for services to rehabilitate users of violence. While my gut-reaction was that they should just go in the bin, I realise that people can change and grow.
