Happy Canadian Ag Day! Sorry I’m late…
a) the cows were out
b) water froze up
c) dogs were out
d) was saving a sheep from a near death experience
(Pick from any one of my regular excuses)

Great opportunity to hear how these interesting folks got involved in the beef industry. I’m currently a member at large on CCA’s youth council and it’s been a really great experience.
On Thursday, March 9, join our young producer panelists to learn more about the Canadian Cattle Youth Council, the unique paths and learnings that led them here, and ways you can get involved as a young person in the industry! Click here to register: https://t.co/E2dtvwo4wA
@Rusty_Weiner_ It really varies from place to place and year to year. This year we had lots, thanks to all the rain we had. Poorer quality, but lots of it. Last year we were in a drought situation, so supplies were pretty tight.

@Myhre_Hans If you bond them to cattle they will protect them the same as sheep. The cows get used to them surprisingly fast and relax around them. Dogs learn quickly to respect their space. Yearlings love them, something to lick haha.
@Myhre_Hans We have a couple dogs stay in the fence with the sheep and a couple as “perimeters” that are out of the fence and travel between the sheep and the cattle pastures.
