The function of the church is not to make people feel good, but to make them good by preaching the gospel and allowing Christ to transform their lives.

“Superstition and idolatry form a tough crust that makes us insensitive and unreceptive to the word that God speaks in mercy and salvation” -Eugene H. Peterson

@NjTank99 do you think Darin Ruf will be an all star this year?

[Parker Lewis @plew8833]

OK, you can only write with ONE type of pen for the rest of your life, which one are you picking? (ignoring the ink color)

Greg Olsen is the fantastic calling NFL games weekly. Aspire to get to where he is.

Prepared. Timely. Smart. Teaches. Story tells. Don’t make it about him but about the game.

Tremendous 👏

@plew8833 Finally, a good Twitter take from Parker

[Parker Lewis @plew8833]

Yes, but not just because guys are sitting. Playing 82 games makes the individual game almost worthless. Play 51 games (1 against other conf, 2 against your conf, 4 against your div) so that the games mean more.

Discussion: Should the NBA shorten the regular season?

[Parker Lewis @plew8833]

@SCAgolfer It wasn’t a hot take - it was a correct one

Imagine if we came together as a nation to pray for our country, our leaders, the oppressed, etc. God came through and we seem to ignore that now that Damar is healthy! Prayer is our most powerful tool.

[Parker Lewis @plew8833]

As a nation, we came together to pray for Damar Hamlin. Through the miraculous work of God, Denny Kellington checked for a pulse of a football player that looked like he had a bad concussion. Then, with minutes of no oxygen and days with limited oxygen he recovered brain activity
