I’ve worked in some of the most corrupt countries on earth.

In Chad, we called the open bribery required to get anything done, critical equipment out of customs, or get incoming & outgoing staff through airport customs, the GST.

Most of these countries who had ‘facilitating fees’ attached to everything were open about it but here in Canada it’s just as institutional.

Fundraisers, insider meetings, nepotism, cronyism, media subsidies, all leads to the same place. We are just as corrupt as those countries we love to criticize!
