Wspólnie z Instytutem Polskim w Berlinie zaprezentowaliśmy niemieckie wydanie korespondencji Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie i Alberta Einsteina. O wyjątkowej relacji łączącej tych dwoje wybitnych uczonych opowiadała dr Ewa Łabno-Falęcka.
Wieczór uświetniła obecność prof. Hanocha Gutfreunda – byłego rektora Uniwersytetu Hebrajskiego w Jerozolimie oraz dyrektora Archiwum Alberta Einsteina. 👏
Jerzy Wójcik was standing on a cold balcony in Warsaw when a friend called. A conversation about funding one power generator for families in Kyiv left without heat turned into a wave of solidarity that moved people across Poland – and beyond.
Together with other activists, including Joanna Mosiej from https://t.co/WcTP25GGcn, Natalia Panchenko from Stand With Ukraine and Bartosz Kramek from the Open Dialogue Foundation, Jerzy decided to act. Once they launched the fundraiser “Warmth from Poland for Kyiv”, entrepreneurs, civil society organisations, the media, and public institutions all joined the effort. But above all, it was 77,000 Poles who chose to support people facing war and freezing temperatures in Ukraine. 🕯️💙💛
More than PLN 10.4 million raised is not just a number. It is warmth in homes, light in the darkness, and the feeling that no one was left alone. 🇵🇱🤝🇺🇦

A Year of Working Together for the Security of Our Region - Thank You! 🇵🇱🌊
Today, Poland concludes its Presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States.
We would like to thank all our partners for their cooperation and joint efforts throughout the past year.
We also wish Iceland every success as it assumes the Presidency on 1 July.
We look forward to meeting again through future joint initiatives within the 🇵🇱-🇮🇸-🇸🇪 Trio. 🤝
The Baltic Sea is no longer just a sea. It is a space of security, energy, logistics and economic opportunity. 🙌
Following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, its strategic importance has grown significantly. The Baltic Sea is home to critical energy connections, major ports and terminals, vital supply routes and the rapidly expanding offshore wind energy sector in Poland. ⚡⚓
As Poland assumed the Presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (@CBSSsecretariat) in July 2025, it identified the following key areas for regional cooperation:
🔸 Protecting critical infrastructure
🔸 Combating the so-called “clunker fleet”
🔸 Countering GNSS signal interference
When Russia attacked Ukraine, 77% of Poles stepped up to help their Ukrainian neighbours. 🇵🇱🇺🇦
Among them are Polish volunteer battlefield medics from the “W międzyczasie” group. Close to the front line in Ukraine, often under fire, they provide first aid and evacuate the wounded when every second matters. 🚑
Behind every life saved, there is courage and solidarity. We are strongest when we stand together. 💙💛

🌊 A sustainable and prosperous Baltic Sea region requires innovation, collaboration and a responsible approach to the future.
The Polish Presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States is advancing this priority across several key areas:
🚢 Green shipping corridors:
These initiatives support more sustainable maritime transport. The Polish Presidency promotes the exchange of experience and best practice across the Baltic Sea region, with the aim of reducing the environmental impact of maritime transport while enhancing the efficiency and safety of shipping.
🌐 Maritime data and digital cooperation:
Building on the work of the Estonian Presidency, Poland is further strengthening cooperation on the collection and exchange of maritime data, while raising awareness of projects and initiatives being implemented across the Baltic Sea region.
⚓ Unexploded ordnance and dumped munitions:
Another key priority for the Polish Presidency is addressing the issue of unexploded ordnance and dumped munitions in the Baltic Sea, which pose risks to safety, the environment and the maritime economy. Poland is fostering dialogue on risk assessment, mapping and coordinated approaches to managing this challenge.
💬 And as you know, at the end of the technical accession process comes an accession treaty. That treaty must be approved by all EU member states.
In some countries, this matter must be put to a referendum or approved by parliament, and must also be signed by the head of state.

💬 My definition of a European country is a country whose majority territory is in Europe. Both Ukraine and the Western Balkans are unfinished business in uniting Europe whole and free. Poland, in particular, has always pursued a policy of wanting to have European, democratic, successful neighbors on both sides of our border.
