@StuartMaconie recalled me chatting to him and Mark R in a hotel bar in Belfast on their show recently... (I was there on a show with Tony H.) My kids heard him mention it... and were interested to hear that I was (apparently) “plastered”...what?? I’m a tea and biscuits man...
@DavidGHFrost I could spend weeks researching the dusty corners of all the Brexit negotiations, but your attitude to the touring music industry disgusts and appalls me. Perhaps YOU should lose your livlihood to get the message across? Elton has your number.
@eltonofficial how can I... we mobilise in a meaningful way to force this Government to listen and act on the issue of Brexit / UK musicians? You are YOU, presumably giving you some clout, so please please keep going with this!! How can I help?
@1Britain1Nation this “day”, this “song” is no different to all those “everyone together” wedding photos: Yes, it’s everyone together, but certainly NOT of the same mind or motivation. This is an ANTITHESIS in my opinion of what it is to be British. As Hitch once said, “Fuck off”
@joymorrissey So you are SERIOUSLY content to make such a blanket statement as “proud of our history”?? How, to ANYONE with an iota of intelligence mean anything at all?? Our history is as good as it is bad. I celebrate rational & independent thinking, not patronising simplistic cheerleading
@joymorrissey MP What possible benefit could ensue from filling our homes & workplaces with pictures of the queen? Don’t you dare tell us to be proud of what is actually a very bleak phase of our history. I’ll thank you NOT to patronise your electorate... we’re not all stupid.
@ukhomeoffice the settlement resolution centre phone line has a permanent message saying how busy they are. Really not good enough! My 95 year old Mum ( Danish) has been here since 1960. It’s your responsibility to help people sort this mess out.
@Telegraph. I wonder what your average reader would think if they had the benefit of Noam Chomsky’s take on media manipulation of the masses. You epitomise the “banality of evil“ in your feeding of ignorance.
@SagaUK I have two car policies with you. Your premiums are calculated on average time spent on the road, so correct me if I’m not getting this, but I’ve hardly spent any time on the road this year yet paid the same premium.Let me know if you think this is fair.
@sandymackinnon@thomyorke I see special seating areas for Conservatives in the future... can’t decide whether that would be inside the bass bins or in a layby 5 miles away from the gig.
@Measurt@thomyorke A sad, small hearted and cynical reply if I ever read one. Thom is clearly able to foot his own visa bills but cares about the majority of our business which lives on the margins. FYI touring in visa territories ALWAYS comes with heavily reduced wages.
@pritipatel what do you have against musicians? It’s not my vote you have to worry about because it’s normally gone elsewhere, but all my Con.-voting creative friends and colleagues are spitting blood at the way you happily throwing our industry under the bus. Step up and answer!
@OliverDowden what can YOU do about Priti Patel’s “no” to EU touring musicians, which has led to their reciprocation? Whilst I know many Conservative MPs fully appreciate the treasure that the UK music business is, it seems that your colleague doesn’t give a toss
@reformparty_uk@Nigel_Farage Yes Nigel we definitely need reform. We need reform of your place in our Country’s politics...of your constant self-serving stirring up of hatred and unrest. I don’t want my children to grow up in a country where you have the power you so obviously crave.
