PLAVE – Kakurenbo MV

"Over memories and existence, the system begins yet another loop."

Hamin is the only member who was born outside the rules of the universe. Because of that, he's the only one who retains fragments of his memories even after crossing into parallel worlds. Every time a new loop begins, the other members' memories are completely reset, causing them to lose a part of themselves with each cycle.

In the beginning of the MV, Bamby is the first to sense that something is wrong. He notices subtle distortions in the timeline, but only as an uneasy feeling. He has no idea that he's actually trapped in a repeating loop across parallel worlds.

As the loop progresses, Noah is the first to regain his memories. This is hinted at when he suddenly reacts to something reflected in the train window. Although all five members are physically on the same train, Noah appears to catch a glimpse of another timeline overlapping with the present one. It's the first sign that he's beginning to perceive something the others still can't.

Eunho experiences something different. He catches a glimpse of the members from another timeline and instinctively runs toward them, only for them to disappear before he can reach them. When he turns around, he sees countless versions of PLAVE from different timelines overlapping before his eyes.

Yejun's role is just as important. Throughout the MV, he records the members with a camcorder. But as the timeline begins to collapse, something impossible happens. Bamby and Hamin suddenly disappear from the camcorder's viewfinder even though they're standing right in front of him. At the same time, Bamby and Hamin don't seem able to perceive Yejun either, as if they are no longer occupying the same layer of reality despite sharing the same physical space. Shocked, Yejun drops the camcorder and runs out of the tunnel. At that exact moment, the carousel that had been spinning since the beginning of the MV comes to a complete stop.

As the MV reaches its climax, the remaining members also begin to realize that something is wrong with the timeline. One by one, they recover fragments of memories that could be the key to escaping the loop and instinctively run toward one another. However, those memories remain incomplete. They are enough to make them recognize each other, but not enough to fully restore what has already been lost. In the end, their timelines never truly converge, and the third loop comes to an end under the constraints of time.

There seem to be two different layers of "recording" in the system.

ㅡ

Yejun = Physical Recorder(Records the current timeline with his camcorder, preserving the events as they happen)

Noah = System Recorder(Preserves the loop itself, allowing its data to be carried into the next timeline)

Bamby = First Sensor(The first to notice subtle distortions in the timeline, even before understanding the truth)

Eunho = Timeline Witness(The first to directly witness multiple timelines overlapping and colliding)

Hamin = Observer(The only one who retains memories across loops and can recognize data from previous timelines)

In other words, the system preserves existence through the sequence:

Record -> Observe -> Erase

If the data were erased before it was recorded, nothing could be passed on to the next loop. And if no one could observe those records, every reset would simply become another empty beginning.

As the Recorder, Noah has to move first once a timeline reaches its end. His role is to carry the recorded data across the boundary into the next timeline before the current one is erased.

This also explains why Noah walks into the tunnel alone in the Kakurenbo MV.

And the sequence of events shown in the MV doesn't necessarily match the order in which the system itself operates.

Suddenly, that final scene doesn't feel random anymore. It feels like the system itself is operating exactly as it was designed to.

I woke up this morning and opened X, only to see posts from a few international PLLI. Some were sad that the concert wasn't fully sold out, and others were anxiously worrying if this might mean there won't be another concert in the future.
​I’m writing this because I feel a little regretful and worried myself. But please keep in mind that this might just be me being overly concerned—just a fan who tends to worry a bit too much!
​PLAVE promised that they would make sure no PLLI who wants to come gets left behind without a seat, and I truly believe they kept that promise by choosing a much larger venue this time. They mentioned that while filling every seat would be wonderful, even if it doesn't fully sell out, they just want everyone who can come to be there.
​I don't think this promise was meant only for Korean concerts or Korean fans. If you look at the venues booked for this tour, every single one of them is significantly larger than before. While there may still be countries they couldn't visit due to internal circumstances or realistic limitations, I truly believe they are putting in so much effort to meet as many PLLIs as possible across various countries.
​So please, don't feel discouraged or upset. And let's try not to worry about things that haven't happened yet.
​All we need to do now is look forward to the upcoming comeback and have the absolute best time at the concert!
​Are there empty seats? If so, let's cheer and shout so loudly that those empty spots aren't even noticeable! Is the concert hall enclosed? Then let's blow the roof off with our screams!
​Let me tell you, this 5th mini-album is going to be a huge success, and we’re going to make this concert the absolute best experience ever!
