As part of All-Star Week festivities in Philadelphia, Deer Park in partnership with local artist Paul Carpenter and the help of MLB Hall Of Famer Ken Griffey Jr., unveiled a mural titled "Hometown Grit."
Seen as "a love letter to Philadelphia," the mural contains Easter eggs on local landmarks and symbols that represent the city. Built over a 2-week period, the mural measures approximately 2,700 square feet!

When I was a designer at Abercrombie & Fitch, we had this file called "VECTOR STUFF . AI"
It was a massive collection of vintage t-shirt graphics, crests, mascots, lettering, etc all vectorized and passed around to all the designers.
Probably 60% of the graphics you saw for A&F or Hollister back then had something from this file in it, and I learned a TON about the nuances of vintage from studying it.
The interesting part is that this was never formally talked about or documented in any way, but we followed it religiously as a "design system."
Somehow everybody just organically knew how to use it and what "good" looked like (all the designers there were VERY VERY VERY good... I was among the worst).

The local grocery chain here in RI/MA had a local artist paint its Fourth of July flyer, and I think in a world of AI slop, stuff like this is awesome.
A German visiting Auburn, Alabama, to watch Lionel Messi and Argentina play Iceland stopped at a Buc-ee's and ate brisket sandwiches on a stack of deer feeder corn.
A sentence never before uttered in all of human history.
