To all my friends long-standing and recent: have a very happy holiday! We deserve it! Best of luck in 2023! Here’s to hoping I can say the same next year and a special wish for peace in Europe sooner rather than later!
@thetimhampton My GP used the province’s collection of notes, test results, etc that they collect from all Ont. HCP’s to help compile the comprehensive info needed for CPP disability benefits But I agree we should have the right to the details that the province has.
I happened across “A Charlie Brown Christmas” just now and it brought back fond memories of Christmas as a child in the 60’s. it’s got the anarchic happiness of the best shows of the era, with protests against commercialization of Christmas. Widely available including Apple TV
@nathaliejacoby1 I’ve had Moderna and four boosters and have not contracted Covid. My temperature is checked daily and there have been periods where I had PCR tests every couple of weeks. I haven’t travelled a lot but I haven’t been in isolation. When out in public I generally wear a mask.
I gave the Subway app another try and it resulted in a sub at my front door, so it seems fine now. Moral: don’t try an app on day 1. #Subway#redemption. But it would be better if the app made it clear that it’s a front end to a no-fee DoorDash.
@SUBWAY I installed the app on my iOS 15.4.1 phone and ordered a cold cut sub, a drink, and 2 cookies. I entered my VISA credentials and it appeared to work. Got text from DoorDash says they do delivery & 10 min later a text saying “order canceled” & nothing about refund ?WTF?
To complement the magnificent pageantry beaming from London this morning, here’s a song for the working week that my Dad liked to play, from the comedic talents of the great duo Flanders and Swan https://t.co/O3E0O6RIs3 #ukcomedy#funny
I’m at Scotiabank Arena suffering through the very loud and not at all enjoyable (to me) opening act “St Vincent” so far just a lot of noise and bright lights but the crowd likes it. I’m looking forward to Roxy Music. The experience of getting to my accessible seat sucked, sigh
One of the risks of type 2 diabetes is diabetic retinopathy. The std treatment is PRP but it can be very painful. After months of looking for PRP with sedation, I found the very kind staff of A. Berger who did it this week with my deep thanks.@stmikeshospital Toronto
@PnPCBC Added: this fine and others in the future (this is not the last outage) would fund ongoing post-crisis robustness audits and, eventually, proactive audits of new services and bundles to check that services that are too important to fail are robust
At Scotiabank Arena, where the Roger Waters team kindly delayed the start of their show to allow all the people delayed by the horrendous traffic to find their seats. And the people who helped me get to the accessible spot for my wheelchair were SO nice! Thank-you @MLSE !!
