It's been more than a decade. But it's time.
I'm bringing back Battering Rams in a new format.
Get re-acquainted with me, why I chose the Rams at the worst possible time... and why that wasn't such a bad thing, after all.

@ColinDMello Appreciative of your work to hold our provincial government accountable, Colin. You ask uncomfortable questions — the role of a journalist — but you always come across as balanced and, importantly, informed.
Those are two traits I don't think most would ascribe to our Premier.
Ottawa shaped you into a quitter who'd rather hide in his brother's shadow than step up and make his own legacy? Wow, Brady, taking shots on the way out is a bad look.
We're beyond parody. We have been for a while, granted, but nothing could possibly be as stupid or as nonsensical as the timeline unfolding in front of us.
WOW -- Trump crashes out and cuts his interview with Welker short as she presses him on his lack of evidence for claiming elections are rigged
"You're either crooked or you're stupid. Let's call it quits. Because I've had enough. Thank you darling," he tells her."
"I traveled all the way to Wisconsin for this interview," she pleads.
Like they couldn't just, I don't know, make the conscious decision not to do this WHILE also doing their jobs?
Our provincial government thinks we're idiots.
NEW: Government House Leader Steve Clark says the Ontario Legislature will only resume on Oct 27 because the government doesn’t want to “interfere” with the municipal elections.

The Los Angeles Rams had a choice: push harder now, or protect what comes next?

BREAKING: Premier Doug Ford is selling the recently purchased $28.5 million Challenger 650 - days after the Premier’s office defended it.
The purchase of the jet, dubbed the “gravy plane” by the opposition was met with fierce criticism.
Statement:
"Despite the best of intentions, I have heard and agree that now is not the right time for the expense of a government plane. The province is working with Bombardier and other partners to sell the plane as quickly as possible."

The best way to fix transit is... to make it someone else's problem and abdicate the responsibility of municipal government?
Genuinely baffling messaging.
The best way to fix public transit in Ottawa is to complete the upload of our LRT to the province. This is what the upload means to you.
La meilleure façon d’améliorer le transport en commun à Ottawa est de compléter le transfert de notre réseau de train léger à la province. Voici ce que ce transfert signifie pour vous.
The Rams offense is strong, which is a great problem to have.
A closer look at what makes it work, where it can still improve, and why the draft may not be as straightforward as it looks.

The Ford government appears to have narrowed down the potential site for a new 2-million sq. ft. multi-billion dollar convention centre: the Exhibition grounds.
The premier is promising no casino.

Mullin: This is war
*moments later*
Raju: You concede this is war?
Mullin: We haven’t declared war.
Reporter: You just said it’s a war.
Raju: You’re not conceding it’s a war?
Mullin: We haven’t declared war.
Oh, good. This feckless, absentee, so-called "leader" is driving our education and healthcare systems into the ground... but at least he's focusing on opening malls on stat holidays. Things that actually matter to Ontarians.
Premier Doug Ford is holding a scrum at Queen’s Park.
He starts by lamenting that malls weren’t open during Family Day. Ford says people were contacting him with complaints that malls weren’t open.
Ford says he’ll look into it.

All in the name of avoiding mid-semester layoffs, which could've been avoided entirely with proper funding.
Underfunded schools being taken over by the very administration that is causing the problem.
Underfunded colleges forced to shut down programs.
When is enough, enough?
NEW - The Ford government is putting the Peel District School Board under provincial supervision immediately, and putting York Catholic District School Board “on notice” due to what it says is “Infighting, disruption and serious financial concerns.”
