Remembering when the late Simon Cowell MBE, founder of @WildAid and star of Wildlife SOS, rescued a baby Swan that was trapped in a chain-link fence near the River Thames in Surrey. 

Simon had to fend off the parent Swan, which was highly protective and aggressive, in order to reach the cygnet.

Despite being repeatedly attacked by the male Swan, Simon remained calm, talking down the parent while using a blanket to free the baby bird. The cygnet was safely freed, and the family was reunited.

Simon joked about being "beaten up" by the swan, but noted it was worth it to rescue the animal. 🙏
