@nypost Trumps party is the party in power. They have the power to do something about it, yet they do nothing but spew hot air.
The song is stuck on replay
@jackunheard At this point, Republicans deserve the blame.
California elections have been third world corrupt for years. They are the party in power and they do nothing.
If you’re a democrat, there is zero incentive to change. So why would they?
@nypost At this point, why are you mad at Democrats?
Are California elections third world corrupt? Yes
Have they been this way for years? Also yes
Have Republicans done nothing about it despite it happening in the open? Also yes
So why would you think anything would change?
@the_marcoli_boy In that picture, it would be Olise
I’m not sure that Vitinha or Neves would be an upgrade over anything Real Madrid already has, where Olise would be an absolute upgrade
It did. But a lot of that was because it was compromised by the missing defense.
If you’re playing a compact formation like Xabi Alonso was, having really good central defenders is essential or else the midfielders have to play back further and it limits the attack possibilities.
@FabrizioRomano If it’s a big name player, not in the premier league, a midfielder that presses forward, and young, I think Jamal Musiala would be at the top of the list.
@Arsenal_rep1 Depth pieces. The last 2 years saw a meat grinder of injuries. Also with Mourinho, there is a lot of rotation and versatility and players that are willing to shovel the shit
Do I like the signings? Ehhh but for Mourinho, it makes sense
Let me clarify myself. Falls Short means falls short on expectations. Brazil have higher expectations than most of the other teams in the world.
Example: If the U.S. gets knocked out in the quarterfinals, it’s viewed as a successful World Cup for them
Meanwhile if Brazil get knocked out in the quarterfinals, it’s viewed as a disaster and people are getting fired.
Why? Expectations. Brazil have high expectations because of their rich history and a kings riches of talent every cycle.
When a team goes from winning 3 of 4 World Cups to only winning 2 in the following 55 years, that’s the definition of falling short of expectations.
I say this as someone who loves Brazil and is putting money on them to win it
@Rmadonyfc_ Yes. He is an immediate upgrade. Alaba, Rudiger and Militao are not the players they once were due to age and previous injuries. They still need another CB though
@Chase_Senior No way. With Brock Purdy’s capability, I still want Garrett rushing Brock’s blind side.
Even with Trent Williams, the 49ers will still have to add help, which will give Byron Young opportunities to feast on the other side.
Also, Carlo Ancelotti’s coaching style translates incredibly well to the World Cup. He is very fluid and adaptable. He doesn’t make players work within his system, he tailors his system to fit his players.
Carlo is great at handling egos too as seen with Real Madrid. He also never blasts his players publicly, he gives all the credit to his players when they win and takes all the blame when they lose.
Brazil hired a great one.
Brazil’s expectations are always going to be higher than most teams in the World Cup because of their endless supply of talent and rich history.
If the U.S. get knocked out in the quarterfinals, they exceeded expectations.
If Brazil gets knocked out in the quarterfinals, it’s a monumental collapse and people are getting fired.
The phrase ‘falls short’ means falling short of expectations.
Brazil always has high expectations because of their rich history and insane talent pool of players.
So when a team goes from winning 3 of 4 World Cups to only winning 2 in the following 55 years, that is the definition of falling short.
@luizcora@heykayadams Yes. Despite having a kings riches of game changing talent, they haven’t won it since 2002. And 1994 before that.
Of course a lot of it is because they never have a good coach and now they have maybe the best club coach in world history
