Artists go and learn how to produce hour music. It’s not by force ofcourse, it’ll help with your creativity and productivity. It’s either you learn beat production for your sound or how to amplify your vocals (M&M). In this economy, it’ll save you a lot during your creation.
@Thewordsmithhub This is really great!!!! Love the general creativity. Both sides came with a unique energy! Give them 2M each 😂 . Shoutout to Frost on the Lagos section! Clearly distinct on the whole p!
They weren’t able to move people’s minds to their stories and sounds. You really can’t predict a hit artist nowadays, even some of the great labels miss with some artists. I guess it is what it is. It’s just really sad that you can’t rely on talent alone. You’d be so far!!
The game sometimes is really sad. There’s almost nothing like good or bad music. It just balls down to perception. This is why you’d see a lot of artists that aren’t so talented popping and very talented artists are upcoming forever. They weren’t able to adjust the narrative.
When did music impact convert to numbers? I really hope we realize how quickly art is losing value. How does the art make you feel? Not how many streams or views it got? Nothing is real no more, even body parts. What is real?
Anyways, remember our Lagos Cypher? Yes, that one that went viral. We are currently doing an open verse challenge on it🔥 Bring your best! Let’s showcase the talent!
Idk why it’s so hard for me to stay active on X knowing fully well the most intelligent (not everyone but most) are here. There are so many impactful conversations to be had fr! Anyways we’re back for now
I love the fact he mentioned “music business”. A lot of artists focus on the music and forget the business. The business is arguably more important than the music lol!
These are the kind of things that Nigerians should be reacting to!! Not someone’s wedding or how someone decided to spend his money! See our country. See the little children! We’d spread awareness the best way we can, with ART! What have you done for your country?
All the hiphop heads will be present. Come and see the peak of ART! We all put in a lot into our craft. We know hiphop ain’t mainstream and that’s why we took a serious focus into this part of the industry. Sad that the highest level of artistry gets the least recognition.
We are currently focused on Naija Rap but the brand’s goal is to bring out authentic African music whether mainstream or underground, so support the culture. Start by coming for the Rap event on May 10 with @daygenius ! GIDI CYPHER rappers LIVE!
