@necroblossom@xaiver776@blahbla728@BLU3R3V3RB@duskangelz Yeah, that's fair. I'll probably just end it here cause at the end of the day, everybody interprets everything differently. I just wanted to shed some light on the whole 'hollow shell' thing cause I think it's sort of annoying when people only see him with his surface level mask
@necroblossom@xaiver776@blahbla728@BLU3R3V3RB@duskangelz I'm gonna be honest I'm conflicted right now because you're kind of understanding it but you're still disagreeing? He can defy fate, but that's only realized after the boss fight. He does all he can in his dying moments, because he now sees that it's possible
@necroblossom@xaiver776@blahbla728@BLU3R3V3RB@duskangelz the irony at hand. The plan to make Ryoshu as hollow as himself that you speak of is never a plan, but rather w cry of help, knowing what's to come. This is the reason Rien is constantly trying to convince both Ryoshu and himself that to live is to suffer, and why he's 'unfrozen'
@necroblossom@xaiver776@blahbla728@BLU3R3V3RB@duskangelz But you're just... wrong, friend ;—;
He's convinced himself that he is a hollow vessel for the prescripts, but he's not. The entire second half of his boss fight focuses on his feelings and desires, his regrets and a newfound sole motivation. He's anything but hollow, that's (1)
@necroblossom@xaiver776@blahbla728@BLU3R3V3RB@duskangelz and thinks that it's unstoppable. His flair text story shows us that he's seen what the prescripts are capable of and that they have been, for as long as he's lived, impossible to defy. I know I'm overexplaining for a Twitter argument but I just *hate* observer bias..
@necroblossom@xaiver776@blahbla728@BLU3R3V3RB@duskangelz the truth is that Rien's responsibility and presence is dictated by that of fate, and as far as he is aware, there's no stopping the flow of what's to come. He chooses to stay trapped in the cage of the prescripts only because he is aware of the imminent suffering to come (2/3??)
@necroblossom@xaiver776@blahbla728@BLU3R3V3RB@duskangelz That would be quite ironic since my original reply was meant to emphasize how you choose Rien-sang as the best point of comparison when one of the main plot points is just how awful he was to Ryoshu compared to Rien, who you are defacing through this comparison.
@necroblossom@xaiver776@blahbla728@BLU3R3V3RB@duskangelz Every time I read an awful analysis of a character it makes me a tad bit happier about my level of literacy so I do thank you for that, but in every other regard, this hurt to read; Especially the part where you had to bring up Rien-sang, a canonically worse person than Rien
@em_zad82073@amoebatwt It's really funny how the idea of calling Rien a larper is in and of itself larping, since he was imitating Roland's life before Roland even lived it
non-believers will finally see the truth... stay on that side when bad end Meursault is Burn Sinking Ammo (and maybe Tremor if one of the statuses is fake like Valenrodya's Poise)
@CIsolator@UncertainSincla@Bazzketball@worfrix426@Chidorimylove@Licorik Matthias fans will try and convince you that their favorite IDF soldier is the strongest Nursefather and that he's this unstoppable monster, as if he himself didn't admit that he was fighting for his life WHILE assisted by Kira. The sinners contributed near nothing in that fight.
@bisexualheathcl Are you referring to the cutscenes? The sprites are small and not upscaled during the cutscenes as far as I can tell, so they always look very low in quality when zoomed in on.
