Official account for the collaborative book project ⿻ 數位 Plurality: The Future of Collaborative Technology and Democracy by @glenweyl, @audreyt & ⿻ community.
Great to see @audreyt “back” in BA at the @abeceb forum to talk about @pluralitybook with Latam CEOs and Head of States.
“Digital Democracy is not about technology but trusting the people! “
Healthy reminder in this crucial Tuesday.
Thanks @RadxChange
Our most recent trip was the one to Taipei 🌄 Some of us attended the Asia Blockchain Summit, and we hosted a discussion around @pluralitybook, picturing our plural futures.
Some pagodians are in Taiwan for @pluralitybook movement.
With some friends in Taipei, we are hosting an open space discussion for plural future(s) tomorrow🌿

Certainly the most special talk I’ve hosted. With @OpendataCH, we invited Taiwan’s former Digital Minister Audrey Tang to Zurich to share the @pluralitybook & the TW experience. Loads of great insights, engagement, & learning. Truly brings hope to our democratic future.🇨🇭🇹🇼 🖖🏽
Congratulations to @Chusana on both completing the Thai translation of the book (now available here: https://t.co/2iW5S3woq0) and becoming our new overall translations lead!
“To give no trust is to get no trust”
💡💡💡💡💡💡💡
Want to know how the Taiwanese government drew on ancient wisdom to increase trust levels from below 10% in 2015 to nearly 70% this year?
TLDR: they chose actively to trust - and therefore INVOLVE - the Taiwanese people.

“I feel more energy here than anywhere else I’ve been since I left Taiwan
for a new way of doing democracy”
🔥🔥🔥 opener from @audreyt
The UK really could play a powerful role in the world right now
To give no trust is to get no trust. When you radically trust the public, it comes back into our institutions - @audreyt on digital democracy, mobilising civil society + using tech to ensure we have higher bandwidth for democratic input with citizen participation. Radical reform!
