@PhilipProudfoot I feel sorry for the people who are put out of work due to the minimum wage. "Poverty wages" according to who? What's the alternative when a company is put out of business due to wages becoming unaffordable? Welfare? Homelessness?
@pugnacious_polk I've always thought Sagan was responsible for igniting the whole global warming thing. Add in nuclear winter, and his legacy is not a pretty picture.
@GayBearRes With those requirements, I can't imagine who would want to truly attract ex-Amazon "talent," much less actually hire them. It's not just about having "worked at Amazon." It's about recognizing the need to fit in to the culture of *another* company.
@CramerSez The Left is perfectly comfortable with lying, but they know the Right isn't - so they try to use the Right's sense of morality against them.
@matt_vanswol Key to understanding the Left is seeing that they, too, are acting from a place they consider to be morally correct. We need to challenge their actions on moral grounds. Politics flows from morality.
@NickJFreitas Something has changed. There's a difference between turning the other cheek and being a pacifist. At some stage, self-defense becomes not just a priority, but an obligation.
@PWestoff What would the British people have done in WW2 if Germans had just immigrated and brought their culture with them, instead of using tanks, planes and rockets? Genuine question.
@Face_Almighty44 Sounds like an interesting hire. A few devs can work and think that way, and still get useful amounts of work done. Most can't, and fall over as soon as they're faced with a real challenge. Either way, sounds like good feedback for his first performance review.
@simonsarris What I'm seeing is humanity forgetting how and why to be intimate and truly connected with each other. Intimacy is being replaced with hook-up culture. Having kids happens naturally with optimism about the future and true connection between the parents. Both are vanishing.
@pli_cachete The Left saw value in taking over institutions, including recognition that universities are our source of Intellectuals. The Right wasn't philosophically prepared for such an assault. They still aren't.
@liamtuffs1 What people truly require is a strong moral foundation. That's why religion holds such a powerful place in the human psyche, IMO. But it can be done without religion, as well. In fact, to be fully consistent and livable, without religion is the only way.
@wanyeburkett I suffered with mild apnea for decades. I could never tolerate a CPAP or BiPAP. Weight loss didn't fix it. You're going to think I'm nuts, but what finally did it for me is mouth tape at night. Easy and cheap, never once suggested by any of the many docs I saw.
@JeremyTate41 "Get a better job" is the excuse society uses. The real reason is "be a better factory worker." Learn to obey authority, be on time, follow instructions. We're still being manipulated by the Prussian System.
