@edstetzer@marinerschurch Feels unbalancing and also funny. (I had a similar reaction.) It helps when we laugh at ourself, yes?
I texted some fellow pastor's wives who were on a retreat that I was missing, that these lovely Jamaicans were dancing inside of my refrigerator.
Christianity does not look like praying, singing, and giving money while ignoring the screams, unspeakable suffering, filth, and death of others. Christianity is not calling others "them"—somehow unlike us, not human, and deserving of their suffering.
When political loyalties starts shaping the church more than Jesus, it’s time to speak up. When we lose our connection to Christ and stop modeling our priorities, behavior, and attitudes after his, we may still preach things that sound spiritual, but we’ve lost the plot.
"Jesus, he's who we've got. And he shows us how to live."
@BethMooreLPM brings the honest encouragement on 🎙️Holy Post 685, live from the @legacyconference. Check it out wherever you get your podcasts or watch on YouTube.
@DPCassidyTKC@BethMooreLPM Thank you - and I for you. I know that it's less suffering than the way of Christ. Have never been more in love with my husband watching him field the endless blows.
@DPCassidyTKC@BethMooreLPM Odd of me to be commenting on this 30+ days later, but I keep coming back to re-read this post if Beth's (and many of yours, David.) Thanks to you both for being so authentic about ministry. It's encouraging to those of us in smaller ministries who are being eaten alive. ❤️🩹
There is no delight like having a toddler carefully back their diapered booty into your lap. With a book. And yes, you will need to read it four and a half times. Or maybe six.
Taking a moment to celebrate our incredible staff who go above and beyond every day. Your dedication and hard work don’t go unnoticed. Let’s continue to uplift and recognize each other’s greatness! #WeAreECC#ECC#Otters#SchoolFamily#School#Family
@TheReal_JLW@Smartz1989 What I love about this is it's ok to do what you feel your body can handle. We left for a family vacation when our 3rd was 3 days old. (Not a flex)
My daughter mostly stayed home for 6 weeks and let her body recover. I admired this!
Both are a celebration
@DrP_Principal And might I add, start Friday afternoon around 3. Jot tasks that need to stay open in your Monday planner.
It's a good cool down for the weekend, leaving me enough focus to finish the "have to's."
Monday morning is ready for me (and less overwhelming.)
