@alex2222224444 @RyanGarciaESM he was bad defensively for most of the regular season, but genuinely extremely good this series. several outstanding plays in big moments.
@tweetinseattle@YankeeWRLD “adjusted for position” doesn’t mean that he’s only compared to other DHs. It means that his WAR receives a negative positional adjustment (“penalty”) for being a DH.
@TFerguson703@topcat430@JackCurryYES no, 2nd and 3rd because Verdugo left the field of play while making the catch. The broadcast didn’t update immediately to show the runners moving up, but the TV announcers did say that was the case.
@yankeesbeisbol2@CPIZZAIA@MaxMannis not sure how i feel about the idea, but you could do the play by play guy from the national network and 1 color guy from each team
@KCsportsguru @YankeeWRLD@big_botto_m and that’s all accounted for in park factor. the doubles, the triples, the home runs. it’s all in there. Kauffman has a higher park factor than Yankee Stadium, so on average, we expect a player who plays more games there will have better offensive numbers.
@LDKid@papa_cole45@JackCurryYES Tommy John surgery commonly begins as “forearm discomfort,” so that’s why they mentioned Dominguez. hopefully not that serious, but that’s the exact phrase that is used for many players who go on to have TJ
@TeaKaGee@parasocialyte i think there tends to be some confusion over italian vs. spanish pronunciations, since words in those 2 languages often appear very similar. i’ve noticed this also with a podcast i occasionally listen to that has british hosts
@jkimballcook i’m honestly amazed by the amount of pushback you’re getting on this lol. would have thought this was something that everyone could get behind
@EliMcCann super extremely normal, not just for spouses, but also for friends lol. i have at least 10 people on my find my friends map, and it’s so convenient if you’re ever meeting up w people and can check how close everyone is
