Too many journalists struggle with their own discomfort around this nation's "racial" -- RACIST-- past, and that is why they too often write it about it with euphemism and timidity.
There's been much gaslighting & moderate justifying of the new Florida social studies standards, people stating the "clarifications" were designed to show Black resilience, or were just "facts." So, I thought I'd compare the African-American history standards to the Holocaust's.
Says a lot that America dips into the $750 billion defense budget to pull the National Guard in as substitute teachers instead of just paying teachers a living wage.
You're spending public money to solve the problem either way but would rather keep wages down than help kids.
Exxon Mobil: highest profit in 7 years
Chevron: highest profit in 7 years
Shell: highest profit in 7 years

guess it's just that inflation
Interest is great. You put your money in a bank right now and get 0.5% interest but if you borrow from a bank your credit card has a 20% interest rate and your student loan charges 7%.
Almost like the whole system is designed to just siphon your money upward.
In Indiana, politicians and parents who still don’t know what they’re feeding their children for dinner tonight are demanding that teachers post what they will be teaching their students 180 days from now.
In the last four decades, CEO pay is up 1,322% and median worker pay is up 18%.
Can someone explain to me why the 1,322% doesn't contribute to inflation but the 18% does?
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but trickle down economics is nothing more than a cruel hoax designed to enrich the wealthy and corporations at the expense of the American people.
I challenge one - any one - knowledgeable, credible, and senior leader from Wall Street to come up and solemnly affirm that AMC and GME are not heavily manipulated — and WHY they believe that.
Go ahead.
Issue a resounding STFU to retail — if you can.
We are waiting… ⏰
Suspicious how everyone blames the rising cost of a burrito on workers getting a $1 raise but not the fact that CEO pay has gone up 1,322% in the last 43 years.
Last year Chipotle gave its CEO a $24 million raise and paid him 2,898x more than their median employee.
News has surfaced of the @SECGov voting on hedge fund disclosures next week! @GaryGensler failed to protect retail investors! #DoYourJob

The first time they throw a brocker out of NSCC for failing to deliver shares for settlement is the day we can say we've made progress.

Can you explain why Wall Street is the only place allowed to sell you something they don't have, that they will never deliver? We usually just call that fraud. Or stealing. @SECGov@DOJCrimDiv@FBI@JusticeOIG
