"I feel like the Lord is saying..." is common in the charismatic movement. It is the movement's bread-and-butter lingo.
It is absent, however, from scripture.
@howertonjosh@IsabellaMDeLuca The problem with contemporary preaching styles born out of the church growth movement is the Church is bringing a butter knife to a sword fight.
@Toneskeee Where does Scripture say this? Remember, don’t read in your predetermined conclusion. Read out what the whole of Scripture teaches. Hebrews is a book primarily dedicated to warning Christians of falling from their faith.
@Toneskeee Start with the Bible. Don’t read in what you have already determined. Read out what it actually says. You will find we are called to respond to Christ in repentance and faith. You will find it teaches salvation, holiness, and unity of the Church.
@Niknakgirl23 Someone forgot to tell Philip and his daughters.
Leaving the next day, we reached Caesarea and stayed at the house of Philip the evangelist, one of the Seven. He had four unmarried daughters who prophesied.-(Acts21:8-9)
@davidjeremiah The Scriptures do not teach any such thing about the Return of Christ. Jesus will come down from heaven with a loud command as the Apostle Paul wrote in Thessalonians.
@Toneskeee Be careful to interpret chosen as preselected. Reading out what the Bible says won’t lead to Calvinism. Most people don’t know that Calvin executed over 50 people. I wouldn’t put a lot in a man who didn’t understand we don’t kill other people, some who were Christian.
