@PaulJohnDykes Scales and McCowan deals were unnecessary in the sense that they still had time on their contract that would have kept them beyond the summer for a new manager to decide whether to offer them a new deal but tbh they aren’t good enough

Slightly different from the other 2 in the sense he knows he’s a squad player and not guaranteed to play but his experience in what will probably be a completely new squad could be a good thing to have.
