3/…it’s no wonder many private groups sell to PE or join a hospital system. As others have said, the cost of just keeping the doors open cuts deeper and deeper into any meaningful take home. Why not let it be someone else’s problem (hospital system) and let us just practice medicine?
2/ ..testing/lab draws…their new game is “peer to peer”…keep you on hold forever, make it very challenging to actually talk to their pre-auth physician (who’s often-times not even in the same specialty of the procedure they’re reviewing) and ultimately make it very difficult to get a procedure approved.
@mcuban 1/ Hi mark. Private practice cardiologist here. Thank you for addressing this issue. Insurance companies can pretty much do whatever they want to small medical practices. We do take all of the risk..we cover their insured lives and then they retro-deny things like procedures…
@autocar Shameful..what a slap in the face to the history and majesty of the brand. Benedetto Vigna should fire on the spot the head of design for this absurdity. All of their ICE cars will thankfully skyrocket in price…but how on earth can this not be a late april fools joke??
@elonmusk@elonmusk I’m an interventional cardiologist outside of NOLA and I would desperately like to talk to you about how hard it is to stay in private practice.
@jedicath I think I responded to this post some time back. Asa mono-tx is not optimal. Plavix 4/week better. Haven’t had any late ST with that regimen.
@RobertAvramMD I’m not following the logic of treating a patent culprit artery medically. Do you work in a lab that doesn’t have stents to fix clearly diseased vessels? Is a “patent (but clearly diseased vessel) culprit artery” now a thing for stemi medical management?
I had an LAD dissection yesterday..complex bifurcation PCI complicated by above and also no/flow in LAD..able to salvage..but lost 2 small diagonals..massive STE. This am, when pt lucid and situation explained, he tearfully said..”TY for saving my life.”

@Tesslagra I love the idea. I’m always trouble shooting too..glad to see that smart people like you are willing to put their ideas out there. Thank you!!
@RealJamesWoods Hi james..big fan of your work. I watched true believer again recently. What great acting by you. Oscar worthy. All the best with your house situation after the fires.
